Fancy following in the footsteps of former President Bill Clinton or the likes of Prince Charles and the late Lady Di, just to name a few of the rich, powerful, influential and royal who sailed on board the former Spanish royal yacht Fortuna which used to be based in Palma as guests of the former King and Queen?

Well, one of the most emblematic nautical symbols of the Spanish monarchy, the yacht that sailed for years under the name Fortuna and belonged to King Juan Carlos I, remains up for sale and is now available for charter from the port of Ibiza for $23,353 per day (€20,100).

Currently renamed ‘Foners’, the boat is managed by Bluebnc, a company specialising in luxury charters in the Mediterranean, while ownership remains in the hands of the Balearia shipping group, which has been trying unsuccessfully to sell it for years, according to Infobae.

The yacht offers a combination of Spanish engineering and the highest standards of comfort. With a length of 43 metres, it has four cabins that can accommodate up to eight people and spacious outdoor areas designed for enjoyment: a terrace with sun loungers and a bar, bow and stern areas for sunbathing or al fresco dining, and a hydraulic ladder for easy access to the sea.

The interior does not disappoint either: jacuzzi, cinema room, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. In terms of water sports, it has a jet ski (with licence), snorkelling equipment, boards, wakeboards, seabobs, floats, paddle surfboards and a floating platform.
