Spain property: Andratx in Mallorca has one the most expensive streets to buy a house

The Costa del Sol, Mallorca and Barcelona are home to the most expensive streets to buy a home in Spain, according to a study carried out by idealista. The most exclusive street to buy a property is located on the Costa del Sol and covers the entire Coto Zagaleta development in the municipality of Benahavís, with an average price of 12,366,846 euros.

Next is Avenida Supermaresme, in the Barcelona municipality of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, with an average price of 9,063,833 euros. Third place goes to Camí des Salinar, in Andratx, where properties have an average price of 8,909,375 euros. Fourth place goes to Calle Binicaubell in Palma, with an average price of 7,848,571 euros, and fifth place goes to Carretera A-397 in Benahavís (Costa del Sol), with an average price of 7,592,000 euros.

In sixth place is Calle Vivaldi, where the average price of properties stands at 7,681,750 euros, and in seventh place is Calle Albinoni, with 7,615,480 euros (both in Marbella). In eighth place, properties on Carrer Congre (Andratx) have an average price of 6,106,071 euros. Calle Wagner ranks ninth with an average price of 6,033,733 euros, followed by the Cascada de Camoján development, where properties have an average price of 6,870,131 euros.

The analysis by the real estate portal shows that, in addition to the three autonomous communities (Andalusia, the Balearic Islands and Catalonia) with streets in the top ten, six other regions have addresses with an average price of over one million euros. These autonomous communities are the Canary Islands (€6,471,111), the Community of Madrid (€5,458,278), the Valencian Community (€4,960,000), Galicia (€1,742,786), the Basque Country (€1,661,214) and Cantabria (€1,013,894).
According to idealista, the most affordable region is Navarre, where the most expensive street has an average price of €302,665, followed by Castile-La Mancha (€513,500) and Asturias (€527,898).

The purchase of homes by foreigners in Spain reached nearly 93,000 transactions in 2024, a record figure never before seen in the country, according to quarterly data from the Registrars, compiled by idealista/news. Of the more than 636,000 transactions completed last year, almost 14.6% were made by both resident and non-resident foreigners. In the Balearic Islands (32.6%), the Valencian Community (28.9%) and the Canary Islands (27.2%), more than one in four purchases were made by foreign buyers, with British, German and Moroccan citizens being the nationalities that bought the most homes last year.
