On Monday night, Mallorcan hotels, bars and spas were honoured during the gala dinner of the Condé Nast Johansens Excellence Awards 2026 held at the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in London. In addition to the awards for Europe and the Mediterranean region, the best luxury hotels and spas in the United Kingdom, North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania were also announced.

The winners of the 2026 Annual Excellence Awards were chosen based on a combination of online voting, guest reviews and assessments made by the Local Experts team over the past year.
The Guardian rated Cases De Son Barbassa, Capdepera, as one of the 20 best agroturismos in Mallorca. “Another for the Ibiza set, Barbassa is all about style: a row of white beds by the pool with flowing white drapes hanging off square frames; an alfresco ‘chill-out area’ with white floor cushions and scattered candles.
