Palma is one of the best cities in Spain to drive, despite being number ten in the country in terms of road accident fatalities.

Palma.— According to a study released yesterday, the Balearic capital is the 14th best in Spain to drive.
Over fifty  municipal capitals, plus Ceuta and Melilla, were taken into account in the study. Six key factors were compared in order to draft the ranking: population density, number of vehicles per kilometre, number of road fatalities, number of days driving with temperatures below zero degrees, rain levels and the price of car insurance.

Fatalities
Despite excelling in some departments, which led to the respective fourteenth place, the number of road fatalities is reason for concern. With a total of 45 fatal accidents recorded last year, the Balearic capital made the top ten black list.
Palma’s percentage was 39 percent above the national average.
