Palma.—Business in the service sector in the Balearics improved significantly in October this year compared to 2012.
According to a report published by the National Statistics Institute yesterday, trade increased by 9,7 percent, placing the region as the top performer in the country.
Taking into account the months up to October, overall trade has grown by 5.3 percent compared to the same period last year. Local figures contrast with Spain’s numbers, where, to date, business has contracted by 2.7 percent.
