Environmental group GOB warned the authorities yesterday that their plan to open a refuge on Cabrera will put the local flora under more pressure.
Palma.—The opening of a refuge in then Cabrera National Park is set to double the number of people heading to the island to spend the night but the organisation is concerned it will have a negative impact on the environment.
“The daily running of the park will change in a lot of ways. Water consumption will most likely increase to cover basic hygiene services like toilets and showers.”
