PALMA'S emblematic Borne was transformed into a film set yesterday for the shooting of an Austrian television advert for detergent.
Filmed by Palma Pictures Mediterranean Production Company whose enormous studio is located on the Marratxi industrial estate, the style of the advert was based on the famous Sex In The City television series.
The production attracted a great deal of interest from passers by, many opting to grab one of the benches and watch the entire proceedings.
Over the past decade, Palma Pictures has turned Majorca into one of the world's most popular locations for shooting adverts and many leading global companies have shot award-winning commercials on the island.
Later this month, the new Stella Artois commercial is going to be shot on the island.
