A second motorcyclist has died in Palma in less than 48 hours.
A 58-year-old man lost his life on Sunday night after an accident on the road between Es Secar de la Real and Establiments. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Indications are that he lost control of his high-powered motorcycle.
The accident occurred minutes before 10.30 pm. A passer-by found the man and his motorcycle lying on the ground.The man was unconscious. The 112 emergency services line was called, and ambulances and the police went to the scene.
Paramedics attempted to revive him but were unable to save his life. Initial investigations suggest he lost control of the bike for unknown reasons on a bend. He was subsequently thrown from the motorcycle.
On Saturday morning, a 38-year-old motorcyclist died following an accident with a car on a road leading to the Son Gotleu district of Palma.
