Jet2 recently announced a significantly expanded Summer programme for 2027 from London Gatwick, just weeks before the company launches its first flights and holidays from its newest airport base. For just its second summer of operations from London Gatwick, the UK’s favourite airline and tour operator has increased capacity by 27% in response to demand.
The airline and tour operator has also increased capacity for Summer 2027 to a number of popular destinations - Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife - offering customers even more choice and flexibility when it comes to reaching their favourite hotspots. And in a further boost for British travellers, Jet2.com has once again been named as the only UK airline to be awarded the prestigious status of Which? Recommended Provider, after being highly praised for its reliability, customer service, value for money and booking process.
The leading leisure airline topped Which?’s annual survey of short-haul airlines yet again and received the coveted Which? Recommended Provider title from Which? for the eleventh consecutive year. This comes in response to travelling customers giving Jet2.com the highest customer score out of all the short-haul airlines surveyed.
Which?’s survey of short-haul airlines is based on feedback received from over 7,000 members of the public who were asked to rate their experiences of flying, within the last year, against a range of criteria. This included on-time performance, customer service, value for money, punctuality, booking process, boarding, seat comfort, food and drink, cabin environment and last-minute cancellations.
Jet2.com was recognised for its customer service, value for money and booking process, clinching an impressive four out of five stars in all these categories. One respondent said the booking process was simple because “Compared to other airlines, Jet2 gives you a generous luggage allowance, which makes such a difference.”
The airline was also named a big winner for its reliability, with Jet2.com outperforming other airlines in the survey for not making cancellations and getting customers away to their intended destinations. The airline’s award-winning Red Team were also praised for being around to offer advice and guidance.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have a track record of achieving recognition from the consumer champion and this latest accolade means that the Jet2 brands have been awarded Which? Recommended Provider status in seven categories overall. These are: Airlines, Beach and Resort Holiday Providers, Tailor-Made Holiday Providers, Family Holiday Providers, Solo Holiday Providers, City Breaks, and Villas and Holiday Lets Abroad.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Jet2.com, as we know how hard people work and save for their holidays. To receive this recognition from Which? is something we are extremely proud of and what makes this even better is the fact that we are the only UK based, short-haul airline to be awarded this prestigious status. When booking with Jet2.com you are guaranteed an award-winning team that is obsessed with customer service, and this is reflected in this latest accolade. There is no better testament for our VIP customer service than this recognition, and it is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication of our brilliant colleagues who go above and beyond to look after customers.”
