In a quiet courtyard in Palma, a unique healing space is helping clients unlock deep transformation through the ancient wisdom of Amatsu Integrated Japanese Medicine. MIKU Mallorca, led by certified Practitioner and Licensed Teacher Kimmy Dobák, is more than just a wellness clinic—it’s a European pioneer in this comprehensive, multi-layered approach to integrative healing.
Kimmy’s journey to founding MIKU Mallorca began with a deeply personal healing experience. “In my early 30s, I became seriously unwell,” she shares. “Doctors ran endless tests and procedures, but I kept deteriorating. I was eventually bedridden for over a month.” She then sought help from Dr. Chris Roworth, a leading practitioner of Amatsu Integrated Japanese Medicine in the UK. “Within one session, I walked out absolutely flabbergasted with how much better I felt. After four sessions I was completely healed —something hospitals couldn’t do in two years. To me it was a miracle.”
That transformative experience sparked a calling. Kimmy trained under Dr. Roworth at the International School of Amatsu Integrated Japanese Medicine and eventually became one of only eight people worldwide licensed to teach the system. In 2022, she moved to Mallorca and opened MIKU Mallorca’s clinic in Palma, offering locals access to this rare and powerful practice.
So, what exactly is Amatsu Integrated Japanese Medicine?
“It’s a deeply holistic system rooted in ancient Japanese naturopathic medicine, dating back over 3,000 years,” Kimmy explains. “It’s based on teachings passed down from Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi—widely considered the last true ninja—and further developed in the West by my teacher, Dr. Roworth.”
What makes it unique, she says, is its whole-person focus. “We address every plane of health in a single session—nutrition, environment, the physical body, the emotional mind, and energy. These are the Five Godai, the foundation of Amatsu medicine. It’s not just about treating symptoms—it’s about understanding and correcting imbalances at their root.”
Each treatment draws from a broad toolkit of complementary therapies, including Five Element and Tung acupuncture, visceral manipulation, Japanese bone setting, fascia release, craniosacral therapy, kinesiology, cupping, ultrasound, and more. Every session is completely customised.
“It’s hard to define because it’s so integrated,” says Kimmy. “We blend systems intuitively based on what the body presents. For one client, we may focus on fertility and digestion; for another, it might be injury recovery and trauma release.”
Clients come for a wide range of issues—from chronic pain and fatigue to hormonal imbalance, gut dysfunction, and autoimmune conditions. “It’s just as effective for prevention as it is for treatment. We also support women’s health, mental wellbeing, and even complex cases like long Covid or stroke recovery.”
Kimmy’s work now extends beyond her Palma clinic. “We recently launched MIKU Retreats, and in 2026 we’re hosting a five-day holistic retreat during the solar eclipse. It’s a one-of-a-kind event focused on self-healing, transformation, and the Five Godai. We’re combining naturopathic workshops, daily practices, and guidance from experts, including UK astrophysicist Dr. John Mason, MBE.”
For Kimmy, education is at the heart of everything. “This retreat—and my practice—is about helping people reclaim authority over their own health. We teach people how to apply the Five Godai, treat themselves, and make better choices for their bodies and lives.”
MIKU Mallorca is also breaking new ground as the first location in Spain to offer professional-level training in Amatsu Integrated Japanese Medicine, certified by the UK’s Chestnut School. “We’re bringing practitioner training here for the first time. Courses are already running in the UK, Germany, and Czech Republic. This is the beginning of a new chapter for Spain.”
When Kimmy first arrived in Mallorca in 2022, few people had heard of Amatsu medicine. “Many thought I was just another osteopath or acupuncturist. But through education, workshops, and word-of-mouth, people are realising how unique and effective this approach really is.”
She sees clients of all ages—from newborns to the elderly—and advocates regular maintenance sessions every 4–6 weeks. “It’s about staying ahead of imbalances, not just reacting once things go wrong.”
Asked how the practice has influenced her own life, Kimmy lights up. “It changed everything. From the way I understand food and energy to how I raise my son and view consciousness—it’s been a complete shift in perspective. And I’ve seen the same in my clients, students, and even friends who’ve trained as practitioners after experiencing their own healing.”
So what would she say to someone curious but hesitant to try something so unfamiliar or ‘alternative’?
“I think most people find this medicine after they’ve already exhausted many other options—sadly, that’s often the case. But I do believe we’re on the brink of a health and wellness revolution. People are beginning to seek out alternatives and other ways of understanding their bodies and their healing. People of are fed–up of pharmaceutical pill popping, which treats the symptoms and not root of the issue, which generally brings about a whole host of other problems.
I believe so deeply in the power of transformation and empowerment. Now, more than ever, we need to become advocates for our own health and wellbeing.
I understand it can feel scary to move away from conventional allopathic medicine into something unfamiliar or unknown. But I always say: just book a consultation. Come in and see if it resonates with you. Most people find that it does.”
