After a wintry weekend, Mallorca begins the third week of April with its sights set on the return of stable weather, more in keeping with spring. The regional office of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in the Balearics has already set a date for rising temperatures and clear skies.
However, it is much of the same for Monday, 13 April, and the AEMET forecast for Tuesday, 14 April, is for more cloudy spells in Mallorca, with the possibility of light rain, mainly in the afternoon in the interior of the island. Night-time temperatures will remain largely unchanged or fall, whilst daytime temperatures will rise. The wind will blow from light to moderate from the west.
But, stable weather conditions will be the tonic in Mallorca on Wednesday, 15 April, when mostly clear skies are expected. Night-time temperatures will be similar to those of the previous day or will fall, whilst daytime temperatures will rise slightly. The wind will be light from the west with coastal breezes.
On Thursday, 16 April, skies are expected to be partly cloudy or clear. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged. Meanwhile, the wind will blow lightly from the west and south-west with coastal
Thursday will bring a change in the weather, with spring-like conditions returning: clear skies and temperatures ranging from 19°C to 25°C.
Friday will follow the same pattern, with maximum temperatures rising to between 20°C and 26°C, and this will continue throughout the weekend, when few changes are expected. Although there are still a few days to go and the weather models will need to be updated, the good weather is expected to continue into Friday and hopefully the weekend.
