No change to the warnings previously reported for the coasts on Friday. These are from Thursday midnight to Friday midnight - amber in the north/northeast, yellow in the Tramuntana and in the east. Waves of up to five metres (amber alert) but possibly reaching ten metres; three to four metres (yellow alert). Force seven gusts expected. For Saturday there is currently a yellow warning for the north and northeast up to 6am.
Otherwise, indications are that there should be sunny interludes on Friday, while the risk of rain is low. Aemet suggests that Storm Deborah is unlikely to bring more than light rain; the chances of any significant snow in the mountains are therefore low.
Deborah is set to be replaced by another storm. Weather stations are at present pointing to Sunday being a rotten day with rain, possible thunderstorms and a strong north wind. This wind is due to persist and strengthen next week, with gusts of up to 120 km/h currently indicated for Tuesday. General wind speeds are expected to be near gale force in the north and in the northern Tramuntana.
