Following a pretty awful Thursday, Friday is forecast to bring less rain and some sunny spells. It will be windy for a time in the morning. There are yellow warnings for the south and east coasts. These are from 8am to 6pm; a force seven wind (60 km/h) and waves of three metres.
Alerts have been issued for Saturday - yellow for the coasts, except the north/northeast, for the same hours and a yellow for thunderstorms in the south and east from 3am to 10am. It is unusual for a warning for thunderstorms to be issued without one for rain as well, though Aemet notes the risk of hail; gusts of 80 km/h are possible. Weather stations elsewhere in Mallorca are suggesting thunderstorms on Saturday and with 100% rain probability.
Snow still possible at 800 metres on Saturday and Sunday. Weather stations had indicated the possibility of snow on Thursday at 1300-1400 metres. On Friday, although there is less risk of precipitation, it could snow at 1000 metres.
For the big demons' correfoc in Palma on Sunday evening, there is a medium chance of rain and with a moderate wind from the northwest.
Warnings of one type or another are highly likely for several days to come. At present, the outlook into next week is not good; high winds, rain and grey skies, but not cold.
