The yellow alert for heavy rain on Saturday, which initially was for the south and east only, has been widened to cover the whole of Mallorca. This is from 9am to midnight Saturday - 20 litres of rainfall per square metre in one hour. At least one town hall, Consell, has postponed its floats parade for the Sant Antoni blessings and bonfires on Saturday because of the weather forecast; other town halls may announce postponements as well.
No alerts for Sunday have been issued as yet. It is possible they will be, as the forecast is for rain and thunderstorms everywhere. The forecast is the same for Monday. The Sant Sebastià night of concerts (Monday) looks as if it could be rather damp. There isn't at present any risk because of wind on Monday night, with the high winds (near gale force) expected on Tuesday mainly forecast for the north.
In summary, the next few days are likely to be a bit rotten.
