After a freezing start to the Christmas week in Mallorca with temperatures yesterday dropping to zero and snow falling on the peaks of the mountains, on Tuesday 23, the weather will remain grey. Cloudy intervals will continue to dominate the sky, with scattered showers that may be accompanied by storms and small hailstones.

The snow level will drop to 900 metres, which is significant for the Serra, where the weather will be wintery. Temperatures will drop at night, with light frosts in Mallorca, while in the morning there will be little change.

Looking ahead to Wednesday 24 December, Christmas Eve is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rainfall across the islands, again with the possibility of storms and small hailstones. Night-time temperatures will continue to fall, with light frosts in Mallorca, although there will be a slight rise in temperatures during the day.

Christmas Day, Thursday 25 December, will bring a slight respite. Although the sky will remain cloudy for much of the day, it will tend to clear up in the afternoon with cloudy intervals. Rainfall will be concentrated mainly in Ibiza and Mallorca, and temperatures will rise, especially at night.
