On Sunday, there was some quite heavy rain in eastern areas in the afternoon. There was a more widespread build-up of heavy cloud but without rain.
Sun, sun, sun for most of Mallorca on Monday, with occasional cloud in some areas.
In astronomical terms it is of course still spring, but June 1 was the start of meteorological summer, and the forecast this week is for temperatures similar to those of high summer.
There is a fairly wide variation, as there normally is, but a high of 39C on Saturday is currently forecast by the Pollensa weather station. Sa Pobla suggests 38, Binissalem 37. Generally, the low 30s are on the cards from Thursday.
This said, the Aemet chart below points to a maximum on Friday followed by a slight drop. There again, this is a general model. We'll see.
