On Tuesday, the weather station in Albufera, Muro recorded the highest temperature in Mallorca and the Balearics so far this October - 33.2C. In neighbouring Sa Pobla there was a high of 32.4C, while Sineu registered 32.1 and Pollensa 32.0.
There has been exceptionally warm weather in Mallorca for much of October. Temperatures have been well above average, and there is no sign of a dramatic change to the current pattern for the rest of the month.
The spokesperson for the Aemet met agency in the Balearics, María José Guerrero, said on Tuesday that temperatures will "slowly" begin to drop from Saturday (October 29). Weather stations are nevertheless still forecasting up to 28C on Monday next week.
