Before Real Mallorca's match against Osasuna on Saturday, Rafael Nadal was presented with the club's first ever 'Honorary Demon' award*.
The business CEO, Alfonso Díaz, presented the award to Nadal, who received a standing ovation from the crowd. He reciprocated with a broad smile and waves to the fans and then posed for photos with the Mallorca team.
The club has created the award "with the aim of recognising Balearic personalities who have stood out for their excellence, values, and contribution to society". "There is no better way to inaugurate this award than with the greatest Spanish sportsperson of all time."
Also before the match, Nadal's three-year-old son, Rafael, was with his grandfather Sebastià in having a kickabout on the pitch.
* Dimonió is the club's mascot.
