Andy Kohlberg will experience his first cup final as president of Real Mallorca tomorrow, Saturday.
He arrived at the club at the beginning of 2016 under Robert Sarver and, after Sarver’s departure, became the maximum shareholder.
The final in La Cartuja is one of his greatest successes as head of the board of directors of the club.
He dreams of lifting the Cup, but tips Athletic Club de Bilbao as favourites.
That said, he says that Real Mallorca can beat anyone on the day.
“It’s a historic moment for the club. For the players, for the coaches, for the management team... Everyone is very excited about this match.
“It’s going to be a great game. They have a very intense style of football, but we can beat anyone on a good day.
“I think anything can happen because our players are playing well and they are almost all healthy for the first time all season.
“We have a great chance and it will be an exciting game for everyone. Anything can happen in football. A stroke of bad luck, a mistake, a referee’s decision, a sending off... Anything can change the dynamic of a match. We are looking forward to the final and excited because we have a chance to win.”
