Real Mallorca's American owner Robert Sarver jetted in to Palma airport last Saturday on a whistle-stop 48 hour visit. He was here primarily to cut the ribbon on the new Players Lounge at the Son Bibiloni training complex. The building consists of a kitchen, restaurant and leisure area where the players can relax and eat after training.

During the opening speeches, general manager Maheta Molango said there will be no triumphalist talk this time about likely promotion. “It's time to talk less and work harder.” It was also mentioned that a new president and director of football will be appointed at the end of the month. Also disclosed was that pre-season training will start on 11 July when the team is expected to travel to either Holland or the Pyrenees.
