Preparing Young Adults for Life: Inside the Palma College Enrichment Programme

| Palma |

At Palma College, academic success is only one part of preparing young adults for their next steps. The College’s Enrichment Programme, offered alongside A Level and BTEC studies, has become a defining feature of the Sixth Form experience. Designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and develop real-world skills, it provides learning far beyond the classroom.

The programme equips students with useful, tangible life skills outside the academic curriculum. Each term, students take part in an eight-week short course, delivered by external professionals, which both introduces a new discipline and allows them to practise it in a hands-on way. The aim is for students to leave as well-rounded young adults with meaningful experience beyond traditional study. Current courses include First Aid and Emergency Skills training, Chinese (Mandarin) language lessons, and Content Creation with video editing. By offering a range of options, the College helps students explore interests, discover strengths and plan their future steps - whether university, work or personal development.

A key highlight of the programme is its engaging keynote speaker series. Recently, Ernesto Collado - actor, theatre creator and founder of Brava Nariz - shared his remarkable journey from the stage into the forests, explaining how a personal health challenge sparked a new calling and led him to unite art, botany and respect for the land in a soulful and purposeful project.

Another memorable speaker was Zahraa, an inspirational former Palma College student. After graduating in International Relations at IE University, she recently completed a master’s in Middle Eastern geopolitics and mediation. Speaking candidly about overcoming challenges, she reflected on the pivotal role Palma College played in developing her confidence, ambition and resilience.

Palma College is now preparing for its move to new facilities in central Palma opening in September 2026. Tours of the new premises begin in December. For more information or to book a visit, please contact admissions@palmacollege.com
