Mallorca International School is celebrating exceptional academic success after its students achieved six Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards this year - placing the school among the highest-performing Pearson Edexcel schools worldwide. The achievement is even more impressive given that the winning entries came from a Year 11 cohort of just 22 students. That is a staggering 23% of our students in Year 11 achieving an award this year.
The Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) recognise the highest-achieving learners across the globe in Pearson Edexcel examinations. Schools from more than 80 countries take part each year, making these awards one of the most prestigious academic honours in international education.
This year, Mallorca International School students received five “Highest Mark in the World” awards and one “Highest Mark in Europe” award in the June 2025 exam series. The subjects recognised included GCSE English Literature, History, and Geography, showcasing academic strength across a range of disciplines. The school would also like to thank and acknowledge Miss Grice, Mr Burt and the incredible team of teachers that supported the students to achieve these results.
