Burgos and Soria: Contrasts steeped in history
From 17th to 20th June
On this occasion, we will delve into the rich traditions, architecture and cuisine of notable towns in the province of Castile and León. Our tour will begin in Miranda de Ebro, a strategic trading hub in the Middle Ages. The Atapuerca archaeological sites will be our next stop; designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, they contain evidence of human presence dating back 1.5 million years. Next, we are treated to the grandeur of Burgos city centre and its castle, offering a privileged vantage point over the city’s layout. Soria is best explored at a leisurely pace, strolling through its pedestrianised streets—dotted with Renaissance palaces and imposing churches—and allowing yourself to be surprised. The final stop on our adventure is Frías, one of the most beautiful villages in Burgos, with its houses clinging to the slopes of the Muela hill.
