Crossroads of civilisations
From 6th to 12th June
This new proposal from the Club will allow us to connect with the more than 11,000 years of history that define Cyprus as a melting pot of civilisations influenced by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Egyptians, Persians, Romans, Byzantines... and give it a fundamental role throughout time.
The city of Nicosia is cosmopolitan, bustling and glamorous, surrounded by powerful Venetian walls and heart-shaped bastions, as well as being the only divided city in Europe. Its rural surroundings offer a landscape of orchards, olive groves and forests. A visit to the beautiful region of Paphos is a must, where you will find the most impressive natural landscapes on this Mediterranean island, with Kato Paphos declared a World Heritage Site. Legend has it that it was in Paphos that the goddess Aphrodite emerged from the waves.
Larnaca offers authenticity and a rich ancient culture: the Finikoudes Promenade, its picturesque old quarter and fresh fish taverns offer a warm welcome. It is near this city, in Choirokoitia, where we will visit a local farm that makes Halloumi cheese and olive bread in the traditional style. Our itinerary will also take us along the Troodos mountain range, the green heart of the island and an important wine-producing area, where we will taste its characteristic wines at a local winery. Finally, the vibrant city of Limassol is located next to an archaeological site of great interest between two ancient city-kingdoms, Kourion and Amathous, where we will visit its old town and medieval castle. Not to mention Strovilia, the ancient city of Salamis, and the nearby city of Famagusta, the jewel of northern Cyprus.

Friday 6th March at 5pm
New guided tour by historian Gaspar Valero to discover the history of Calle San Miguel and its surroundings, one of Palma's main thoroughfares since the Middle Ages. We will stroll through charming streets while discovering its churches, including the church of San Miguel, built on the site of an old mosque and linked to James I's entry into the city. A walk through centuries of history in the heart of the old town.

SAFARI IN KENYA
From 24th April to 3rd May
Going on safari in Kenya is an incomparable experience, with an itinerary that takes you through some of Africa's most stunning natural areas. Our adventure begins in Nairobi, a vibrant city where we will visit the Giraffe Centre sanctuary, the house-museum linked to Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Centre, and have dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.
At the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and in the middle of the open savannah, we will pass through characteristic landscapes where the Maasai shepherds live, whose colourful shukas as they herd their flocks make up a very characteristic image of this region. Aberdate National Park awaits us in the highlands, a cool, wooded landscape where you can quietly observe local species as evening falls and they approach the watering holes located next to our accommodation.
The region surrounding Lake Nakuru National Park is made up of stunningly scenic landscapes, with Thompson Falls, the descent of the Great Rift Valley and the sight of African buffalo, antelope, giraffes and elephants in their natural habitat. Finally, Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the most important centres for this ethnic group in the region and is considered by many to be the jewel in the crown of Kenyan safaris, while the area surrounding Lake Naivasha offers a unique setting for bird watching, with idyllic landscapes.
Every part of this great journey through Kenya will provide us with a genuine, amazing and impressive experience, with unique scenes of wildlife on a great trip that invites you to dream!
