Palma Town Hall has given the go-ahead for a renaturalisation project centred on the Dino Minigolf in Playa de Palma. The base budget is 7.8 million euros, and the estimated completion time is 24 months. A green zone of some 35,000 square meters will include the minigolf site as well as the adjacent beach club, a children's playground and the Parc Llaüt.

This is part of a global action plan for Playa de Palma, which envisages spending of up to €300 million aimed at boosting sustainability, urban regeneration, and competitiveness in this long-established tourist resort area. The Dino project will result in the creation of a large space for public use all-year round.

The project will prioritise the renaturalisation and restoration of the coastal Mediterranean landscape, incorporating climate-adapted vegetation, low-water-consumption species, and sustainable solutions that promote biodiversity and climate resilience. It will also allow for the recovery of characteristic natural landscapes of the coastline, integrating areas linked to the dunes, scrubland, and pine forest.

There is an old concession for the minigolf. Under the plan, its obsolete buildings and structures will be removed, with space to be made for new play areas. There will be pedestrianisation in the area, with changes to the current traffic system.
