The "superyacht to the stars," the Rising Sun, set sail from Palma this morning after being moored in the Club de Mar for a number of weeks. She made quite a sight in the Bay of Palma this morning.
Guests who have stayed aboard include Oprah Winfrey (who celebrated her 65th birthday on board), Leonardo DiCaprio, Steven Spielberg, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Aniston. Away from Hollywood other guests have included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Goldman Sachs' Lloyd Blankfein, former U.S. President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
The mega-yacht features a basketball court, cinema, and wine cellar to accommodate these exclusive gatherings.
The 400 million dollar superyacht is owned by media mogul David Geffen. Last summer she was cruising local waters. Guests included Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Aniston.
She is one of the biggest superyachts afloatand she has been a frequent visitor to Mallorca for many years.
