Wilhelm Bergfors, the 27-year-old youngest son of Curt Bergfors, the co-founder of Max Hamburgers, has died at Son Espases Hospital a month after his Porsche 356B crashed into a wall on the Valldemossa road (MA-1110) .
The accident occurred around 7pm on April 19 at kilometre 15 in Valldemossa itself. Reports stated that he had been driving recklessly. The classic sports car ran off the road when he tried to avoid a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. It then crashed into the wall. A 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were passengers in the Porsche. The woman suffered serious injuries; the man was less seriously injured.
Max Hamburgers is a major chain of hamburger restaurants that was founded in Gällivare, Sweden, in 1968. As well as Sweden, it has restaurants in Denmark, Norway and Poland and franchising agreements elsewhere.
