Summer looks like it could be in the air as the Palma Met Office is forecasting sun for most of the week with temperatures gradually increasing until they reach a maximum of 27 degrees Centigrade on Saturday.
The good forecast this week will be a welcome respite after weeks of unsettled weather and relatively low temperatures. Last week while the day-time temperatures were relatively high but the night-time ones were low reaching four degrees Centigrade in some parts of the island.
There are fears that the unsettled weather has hit the tourist industry with many tourists thinking twice about coming to Mallorca because of the poor conditions.
Bars and restaurants with open air terraces have been hit hard and there are reports that their takings have fallen significantly.
