British billionaire leads by example in Mallorca regatta

Takes the helm of his super sailing yacht

British billionaire, Anthony Langley, is leading by example in Mallorca this week as he takes the help of his super-sailing yacht, Gladiator, which is competing in the 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week based in Puerto Portals with racing taking place in Mallorca waters.

Apart from his super sailing yacht, Langley, also owns a super yacht, the 39 metre motor yacht Corinthian which is also in Mallorca waters.

An accomplished yachtsman, Langley is the principal of the Langley group owned Gladiator Sailing Team, which competes in international yacht racing, including the TP52 Super Series. He is a longtime member of the Royal Thames Yacht Club and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

A qualified pilot since 1988, Langley flies both rotary and fixed wing aircraft. The Langley group owns and operates several aircraft, including a Gulfstream G550, which it acquired in 2014.

Langley is the owner of Langley Holdings, an engineering group based in Retford, Nottinghamshire, England. The group currently has over 90 trading subsidiaries and employs around 5,000+ people world wide, the majority at its factories in Norway, Germany, France and Italy.

As of March 2024, Forbes estimated his net worth was US$2.5 billion. He entered the Forbes Billionaires list in March 2016 with an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion.
