The giant British cruise liner, Queen Victoria, will be visiting the port of Palma twice next month as the cruise season gets into full swing. The Cunard liner is expected to moor up in Mallorca on May 3 and then again on May 26.

She has been described as Cunard´s most luxurious ship and she has a wide range of facilities including top restaurants and a theatre. Queen Victoria's theatre is the first at sea to have private boxes. There is also has a Winter Garden lounge with a retractable glass roof and a two-story library with a connecting spiral staircase.

At the end of October 2011 Queen Victoria and her fleet mates changed their registries to Hamilton, Bermuda, to host weddings on board. Also the word "Southampton" across the stern was replaced by Hamilton.

She cost excess of 200 million dollars to build and she can cater for up to 2,000 passengers and she has a crew of 900.

The Queen Victoria has been a frequent visitor to Palma over the years. Her arrival next month will be warmly welcomed by the thousands of businesses in the capital who depend on cruise ship passengers.
