Jet2 has announced the launch of its first-ever business class layout on an aircraft. The Boeing 737-800, which will be based in Liverpool, is available for charter between October 2026 and May 2027 and meets customer demand for greater privacy and comfort.

Head of Charter and Airline Sales at Jet2, Trevor Caplis, said: “This is an incredibly exciting development, both for Jet2 and for our charter customers. The bespoke configuration of one of our Boeing 737-800NG aircraft with a dedicated business-class specification is a genuine game-changer, and we expect it to be popular with our sports, music, entertainment, and specialist group customers.

"As a result of this brand-new product, our charter customers can now enjoy all the usual operational and cost-effective benefits of Jet2, but with the added benefit of a premium charter product too.” Customers chartering this aircraft will have at least 43 inches of legroom. The aircraft is typically configured with 189 seats, but that has been reduced to 76. Elevated catering options are also offered onboard and can be tailored to customer needs.

And Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are selling Summer 2027 earlier than ever, after putting their Summer Sun programme on sale from all 13 of their UK airports, meaning customers and independent travel agents can book early. With flights and holidays to 59 sun and leisure city destinations available to book, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator’s Summer 2027 Sun programme represents over 19 million seats on sale and 470 routes, including six new Summer 2027 routes.

The unrivalled programme will see more than 1,700 departing weekly flights during peak periods, offering plenty of choice and flexibility to customers and independent travel agents when it comes to booking some summer sun. The early release of the programme means that the companies are the first airline and tour operator to make Summer 27 available to book, as many customers look to lock the sunshine in nice and early.
