A 25-year-old German tourist was seriously injured on Monday night after being stabbed outside his hotel in Les Meravelles (Playa de Palma).
The incident occurred around 11pm outside the Hotel Caramelo. An employee, who went to the tourist's assistance, alerted the emergency services after finding him bleeding.
Palma and National Police officers went to the scene. The tourist had been the victim of a violent robbery, but he remained conscious and was able to inform police that the attackers were also German. They had their faces covered.
He was rushed to hospital. There was a search of the area and two people were arrested.
