The National Police in Mallorca have conducted an operation against a weapons manufacturer with links to Vladimir Putin.

On Monday, police raided luxury properties in Calvia that are owned by an oligarch, Nikolai Kolesov. One of these properties, which is in Sol de Mallorca, was acquired in 2014 by a Russian company linked to Kolesov. In 2022 it was put in the name of his daughter, who was four years old at the time. The Anti-Corruption Foundation, which was founded by Alexei Navalny in 2011, estimates that it is worth about five million euros.

A lawyer, who was involved in the purchase and sale of several homes, has been arrested, a Palma court having issued search warrants for the lawyer's home and her office. Among other things, she is accused of money laundering and membership of a criminal organisation.

The police raided an estate agency, which is alleged to have carried out sales and purchases on behalf of Kolesov. Properties in Son Ferrer (Calvia) and in Puerto Andratx were also searched.

Purchases of properties are said to have been made between 2020 and 2023. Relatives of Kolesov acquired them through different companies, it is claimed. One is in the name of his 71-year-old sister.

Maria Pevchikh, head of investigations at the Anti-Corruption Foundation, together with fellow journalist Georgy Alburov, published a video of their investigation into the properties that Nikolai Kolesov has in Mallorca, which are valued at a total of 18 million euros, according to the Spanish news agency Efe.
