The company which organises the Reggaeton Beach Festival in Mallorca has been declared bankrupt by a court in Palma. The company, DQG Baleares AIE, left debts with suppliers who urged the court to declare bankruptcy due to "concurrent and persistent non-payments".

The creditors provided services for the 2024 festival, which was held in Can Picafort; it transferred to Palma's Son Fusteret in 2025. These include the company that handled transport and equipment rental, to whom just over €8,000 is owed; a restaurant claiming €800; and another company which rented the property where the event took place and is claiming €51,000.

A solvency report considers DQG Baleares to represent "a high risk of default" and recommends against contracting with the company due to its reduced liquidity and "negative working capital". The court summoned the debtor company to appear and present arguments, but it did not appear within the designated timeframe. Consequently, the court has granted the bankruptcy petition.

The Reggaeton Beach Festival is organised from Barcelona through a company that holds events in several Spanish locations. Different organisations are used for each event. In Mallorca, after events in Can Picafort, the organisers decided to move to Son Fusteret. Around 20,000 people attended the 2025 festival.

The festival in Can Picafort generated a number of complaints. These related to the site, which was by a protected area, and to the noise. The then mayor of Santa Margalida, Joan Monjo, got into a war of words with hoteliers, whose establishments were close to the site.

Tickets are on sale for the 2026 festival, though the venue has not been announced and the line-up has yet to be finalised.
