Provisional figures from the Balearics finance ministry indicate that 2025 tax revenue will amount to €6,015,047 million, a record that exceeds the previous year's revenue by €264.8 million.
One of the sources of this increase is the property sales tax. Revenue from this increased by €85 million to €742 million, largely thanks to rising property prices.
Far more came from income tax. The government has never collected so much from this source before. Revenue was €2.57 billion, €475 million more than the previous year.
These increases offset a 14% fall in revenue from IVA (VAT). The total was €1.59 billion, a loss of €260 million compared with 2024.
As to the tourist tax, the provisional revenue was €142.6 million, a minimal decrease compared to 2024's €142.7 million.
