The Palma City Council has decided to cancel all official events organised by the council for the Sant Sebastià festivities, as a mark of official mourning, remembrance, and solidarity with the victims of the tragic train accident that occurred this Sunday in Adamuz, Cordoba.

The decision has been made in light of the tragedy, as a gesture of respect towards those who lost their lives and their families, as well as all those affected by the disaster.

As a result, all events planned for Monday, 19 January, for the Sant Sebastià Revetla have been suspended, including the lighting of the bonfire in Plaça Major, the traditional public revetla, and the concerts scheduled in Plaza España, Plaza Cort, Plaza de Joan Carles I, and Plaza Major.

Likewise, the cycling day on the following Tuesday and the Ciutat de Palma Awards have also been cancelled.
