Top British indie band to open San Sebastian festivities

Free concert on January 16 in Plaza España

Big Palma concert: Crystal Fighters

|

The Anglo/Spanish Indy group, Crystal Fighters, will be performing a concert in the Plaza España in Palma for free on January 16 at the start of the festivities to mark San Sebastian, Palma´s patron saint.

Crystal Fighters is an Anglo-Spanish indie rock and electronic music band formed in 2007 between London and Navarre. They are known for hits such as You And I, Love Is All I Got and Love Natural, and for their unique style that fuses electronic and dance music with traditional Basque folk, incorporating instruments such as the txalaparta and txistu, alongside synthesizers, guitars and percussion.

They have also established themselves as one of the big names at festivals, creating a unique fusion of British pop and expansive electronica that has marked the alternative music scene over the last fifteen years. Beyond their recording career and their presence at major international festivals, Crystal Fighters stand out for the energy, joy and connection they generate with their audience.

The City Council has stated that it will gradually reveal the rest of the artists who will complete the line-up for the Sant Sebastià 2026 concerts, which feature a diverse, high-quality programme with international appeal, in line with the aim of strengthening the city's cultural offering and Palma's bid to become European Capital of Culture 2031.

January 19 is usually the big nights for concerts with performances in many of Palma´s town squares. All events are free.
