House prices in Mallorca have rocketed over recent years with non-new build property increasing in value nationwide by 15 percent, according to the latest surveys. But there are some areas of Spain where property prices have actually fallen and one municipality in Mallorca falls into this category.

According to a report from leading property portal, Idealista, house prices in Lloseta have fallen by 12 percent. However, the report fails to say why.

Lloseta's Wikipedia post in English is not very exciting: "Lloseta is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer in Mallorca. There is a theatre which showcases alternative music and traditional acts. Olympic cyclist Miguel Martorell was born here."

According to data from the municipal register for August 2024, there were 6,456 inhabitants. Data from 2022, when the total population was 6,312, indicated that 14% of the population was foreign - 870 people, of whom 395 were from the American continent and 295 from Africa.

If you fancy a home in Mallorca at a bargain rate well then according to Idealista, Lloseta could be the place for you.
