Shortly before 2am on Saturday morning, there was a head-on collision involving two cars in Alcudia. One person died and four others were injured.
The accident occurred on the MA-3460 at the Horse Roundabout. The cars were an MG and a Hyundai Kona. When emergency services arrived, a man had life-threatening injuries. Paramedics were unable to save the 53-year-old.
Alcudia Police posted on social media that the death was confirmed at 3.40am.
Another person with serious injuries was taken to Son Espases Hospital. The others, with less serious injuries, were taken to the hospitals in Inca and Manacor.
The Guardia Civil's Traffic Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
