A German couple of tourists, a 43-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, are set to stand trial in Palma after allegedly having sexual intercourse in the pool of a hotel in Puerto Andratx in front of dozens of guests, including several children. They are facing charges of obscene exposure to minors, with the prosecution seeking fines of €5,400 each. The case, stemming from events last summer, will be heard soon in a criminal court on Vía Alemania.
According to the Public Prosecutor’s provisional findings, the incident occurred at around 7pm on 13 August 2024. The couple were in the pool of a well-known hotel in Puerto Andratx, where they began kissing passionately. The woman then removed her swimsuit entirely, while the man lowered his to his ankles.
They went on to have sexual intercourse in the water. At the time, other guests were in the pool, nearby areas, and on balconies overlooking the pool. Among the witnesses were several minors. Some guests asked the couple to stop, but their requests were ignored.
The pair were arrested the following day after a complaint from the hotel. Just over a year later, they are now due to appear in court charged with obscene exhibitionism.
