Firefighters had to rescue a person who had become trapped in their vehicle due to a flooded road in Felanitx this morning, at around 6.30am. According to reports, the fire station in the Mallorcan town of Felanitx was activated and carried out the rescue.
The 112 Emergency Service has recorded a total of 61 incidents related to the rain up to 8am on Tuesday, most of them (41) in Ibiza. According to posts on the social media platform X, in addition to the 41 incidents in Ibiza, 19 were recorded in Mallorca and one in Menorca.
The municipalities most affected were Sant Josep de sa Talaia (19), Ibiza (13), Selva (7), Inca (3), Santa Eulària (3), Santa Margalida (2), and, with fewer incidents, Lloret (1), Muro (1), Palma (1), Mahón (1), Pollensa (1), Porreres (1), Alcudia (1), and Felanitx (1).
Most of the alerts were related to flooding of basements and public roads (25), collapses of urban structures (4), agricultural fires (2), fallen trees (3), rockfalls (1) and water accumulation on the roadway (11). The 112 has advised the public to keep an eye on the forecasts in the coming hours and to call 112 if they experience any incident.
