My favourite spot in Magalluf, winners announced

The contest “My favourite spot in Magalluf,” organized by the Calvià City Council, announced its winners on Monday: the first prize, worth 200 euros, went to Rubén Molina Fernández, and the second prize, worth 100 euros, went to Alba Coppola.

This recognizes the two best images from among the more than 50 submitted to the contest under the hashtag #mirinconfavoritodemagaluf. The aim of the competition was to stimulate the creative capacity of the contestants and promote tourism through citizen participation.

To this end, the social network Instagram was chosen, both for its penetration in society, especially among the younger segments of the population, and for the virality that would be generated by the creations of the contestants themselves.

In addition, the winning photograph will now compete for the national awards of the ‘My Favourite Corner’ project, which will be announced on 27 September, World Tourism Day.

The Calvia council underlined the success of the competition and thanked everyone for taking part. The competition is expected to take place again next year.
