A 49-year-old motorcyclist died on Tuesday night after a collision with a Microcar quadricycle in Capdepera. He died in the ambulance as it was arriving at Manacor Hospital.
The accident occurred at 8pm on the MA-4040. The driver, a 70-year-old woman, failed to respect the give-way sign and the Microcar hit the Yamaha XP500 maxi-scooter.
Paramedics stabilised the man before taking him by ambulance to Manacor at 9.35pm. He died as a result of his critical injuries.
The driver of the Microcar was unharmed. She tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
The Guardia Civil's Traffic Police are in charge of the investigation.
