A man has been arrested by the National Police in Manacor after chaining his partner to a bed in house in his house in Manacor and forcing her to sign a notarized deed transferring ownership of an apartment and a luxury car.
The victim told police that she had been subjected to abuse and humiliation by her partner, who has been sent to prison. The aggressor, of Spanish origin, would not let her leave and, when she tried to escape, he held her back and shaved her head. He is accused of abuse, extortion, and breach of trust.
Officers from the National Police's Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) received a report in Palma from a woman who said she had been in a relationship with a man until she decided to end it due to constant abuse and harassment.
The victim told the police that her partner had forced her to stay at his home and would not let her leave. He beat her continuously and, when she tried to escape, he held her back and shaved her head.
The events took place in a house near Manacor where the aggressor's mother also lived. The woman reported that the man tied her to the bed with a chain and gave her a small margin of time to go to the bathroom.
The man made her sign a power of attorney to transfer a property she owned and a luxury car to him as a condition for her release.
