A security guard and another man, aged 40 and 55 respectively, are both in Son Espases Hospital with serious injuries, one of them in a critical condition, following a fight in Magaluf on Sunday morning.
Around 5.40am, emergency services were called to an incident by the HM Martinique Hotel. Several people were involved in a fight.
A hotel security guard intervened and was attacked. Another man stepped in and was also assaulted.
Medics treated them at the scene before taking them to Son Espases. Calvia Police and the Guardia Civil mounted a search to try and locate the attackers, who had fled the scene. They were not staying at the hotel.
