A serious fire broke out at a garage in the coastal town of Porto Cristo, Manacor, at around 5 pm on Saturday, according to the Bombers de Mallorca. The blaze quickly posed a threat to residents on the upper floors, prompting an urgent response from emergency services.

Four people were trapped on the third floor, above the flames, including a local police officer, an elderly resident, and a child. Fire crews from Manacor and Felanitx rushed to the scene to carry out the rescue.

All four were safely evacuated and were able to leave the building under their own steam. Fortunately, none sustained any injuries. Emergency teams ensured their safety before continuing with firefighting operations.

The garage, located on Carrer Llevant, has now been brought under control, though ventilation continues to clear smoke from the building. Firefighters remain on site, taking precautions to prevent any flare-ups.

Authorities are also cooling and inspecting the structure for any potential damage. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, while residents are being advised to remain vigilant in the area.
