A fire broke out on Thursday afternoon in a farmland area of Manacor.
The fire was declared around 5.40pm. There was concern because of the proximity to buildings and to animals. The location of the fire is close to the MA-15 road.
The Mallorca Fire and Rescue helicopter was involved with tackling the fire.
There is as yet no information regarding how much land has been affected.
At 7.25pm, the fire was reported to be under control, although some properties have had to be evacuated.
Mallorca is currently on very high risk alert for fires.
