A 19-year-old Bulgarian woman was injured while riding the popular water attraction known as the ‘Banana boat’ on Magalluf beach. She needed medical treatment and was subsequently transported to Clínica Rotger.

The accident took place at approximately 7.30 pm on Monday evening. The company running the water activity contacted local lifeguards after the woman had an accident on the well-known inflatable vessel, which moves rapidly across the water and creates jumps over the sea.

Lifeguards arrived promptly and found the woman lying face down in the water. They carefully turned her over and brought her aboard a support boat to provide immediate assistance. She was suffering from intense neck pain, had swallowed a considerable amount of water, and appeared disoriented following a significant head impact.

The rescue team stabilised her using a spinal board before carrying her to the shore. An ambulance was quickly summoned and arrived at the scene to take over. Around 8.30 pm, the woman was admitted to Clínica Rotger for a detailed medical examination.

This type of incident has happened before, prompting local residents to call for stricter safety measures on these rides. They warn that a similar accident could have far more serious consequences in the future.
