A 23-year-old man was seriously injured on Sunday after diving into the water from a height of more than twenty metres at Caló de n'Adrover, close to Caló d'es Moro in Santanyi.
He suffered various injuries and the medical team at Son Espases Hospital is now assessing whether there is an irreparable loss of mobility.
The incident occurred around 2.30pm at a spot where people do place themselves at potential risk by diving into the water from rocks.
He had difficulty moving his legs and needed to be rescued. As well as paramedics, Mallorca Fire and Rescue went to the scene. He was stabilised and then taken to Son Espases.
