The National Police have confirmed that the 61-year-old British man who died on the Son Muntaner golf course in Palma on Friday evening had suffered a heart attack.
Emergency services were called to the golf club around 8pm.
Police established that the Briton had gone to locate his ball at one of the holes. When he didn't return, his playing partners went to look for him. They found his body.
The police had initially suspected that he may have been hit on the head by a ball. Injury to his head was from a fall after suffering the heart attack.
